How to Use Hindi SMS Keyboard in other applications like Email

We have been receiving suggestions to add a Hindi keyboard to iphone, like emoji keyboard. Unfortunately, We are unable to do so due to technical restrictions in Iphone OS. But we will show you an indirect way to use our hindi keyboard in other applications. It may not be a very user friendly idea,  but meant for users who really want to use Hindi in other applications.

Step1: Open Hindi SMS and type your content

Step2: Tap on Number button(123)

Step3: Tap on content inside the text view

Step4: Tap on "Select All"

Step5: Tap on "Copy"

Step6: Open your target application(Eg: Email) and paste content.

Hindi SMS User Guide

"Hindi SMS" is a Hindi SMS application that can help Iphone users to sent SMS in Hindi. Any phone, which has Devanagari Unicode support, can display the messages sent from this application. There are many Mobile Phone Brands, which support Devanagari.

    Hindi SMS is one of the first attempts to create a mobile software keyboard for Hindi. This application fully utilizes the large iPhone screen instead of shrinking the buttons to default software keyboard. The main screen displays most of the common alphabets and other letters can be accessed by pressing  "shift" button or double tapping the primary buttons on the main screen.

     Double tapping a keyboard button may be a new concept to Iphone keyboards, but the large number of Devanagari glyphs made it  necessary for easy access. Double tapping a button will add the secondary symbol of that button. For example, the symbol " ी " can be added by double tapping the button " ई ".

Eg1: की can be typed in following ways:

        क + sfift + ी 

        क + double tap ई

Combination of letters  can be entered in the following way:

Eg2: प + virama + र = प्र 

Eg3: प + virama + य = प्य

  

     Double tap on space bar produces a period followed by a space similar to iPhone keyboard. Number button gives access to the default iPhone keyboard which can be used to key in numbers, English alphabets, symbols or any thing that can be entered from normal iPhone keyboard. 

     Tapping the SMS button will take the user to iPhone SMS interface. The data entered by the user is automatically copied to the message body. The user can modify, cancel or sent the message. Tapping  Cancel or sent options will bring back the user to  "Hindi SMS" interface.
